The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. an:! wae called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioner Masters, Attorney Johnston and
Clen: Hawkina. "
Tho minutos of the provious session were read and approved.

Under the head of Applications for &.ilding Permits the following were granted:

W. F. Phillips, Police Judge, reported 78 cases tried and 1900.00 collected in fines for the month of
September 1944. Report ordered filed.
: Under the head of introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOLUTION
To Sell Property Aequired by Foreclosure
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following deseribed proper"ty in the City of Port
Angeles, to-witi .
Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10) Block Three HUndred Ninety (590),
Townsi te of Port Angeles, Washington "
which said property has been acquired by the City on foreclosure of delinquent local im'provelJ1ent assess-
ments Under Chapter 205 of the "essian Laws of 1927, and
I WHEREAS, Frank E. Skidmore has offered to purehase the above deseribed real property from the City of
Port Angeles for the sum of $150.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission ba s viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer" is fair
value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the
sale made.
NOW.," THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell
tho said property at private sale to the said Frank E. Skidmore for the sum hereinabove set forth,
eubject to aD,}' other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a
deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and the City Treasurer be authorized to execute the said
deod in accordanco with the provisions of this resolution and Chapter 275, Session Laws of 1927, when
tho purchase price end all accrued interest thereon has been paid in fUll.
Passed by the City Commission an:! signed by the Mayor this 11th d;q of October 1944.
It waa moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded
by Mayor Ro binson. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed dated October 5, 1944, under end by virtue of the authority of Section 9595
of Remington's Revised ;;t,atutes, Chapter 145, of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit:
Lot Fourteen (14), Block One Hundred Sixty-llne (161),
Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington
I WHEREAS, Louis E. Geisler has offered to purchase the above deseribed real property from the City of
Port Angeles for the sum of \ii225.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission bas viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and eale
made.
NOIIl, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private eale to the eaid Louie E. GeiDler, for the sum herainabove set forth, subject to
any other valid liens egainst tha same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he
is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be
and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit Cleim deed.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded
by Mayor Robinson. On roll call all mambers voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following Ordinance was introducad, read in 1\111 and
passed its first and second reading.
An ordinance relating to certain delinquent local improvement bonds, ereating a special revolving 1\1nd,
pursuant to Chapter 244 of the Laws of WaShington, 1945, for the purchase of any. su"oh bonds, upon tender
at not more than ten (10) per cent of the face value of the principal thereof, and repealing any ordinance
in conflict therewith.
Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinance, the following Ordinances were resd by title an:! passed
their third reading and finally adopted.
An ordinance adopting, and approving the City Budgat of and for the Ci"lO' of Port Angeles for ths fiscal
year, 1945, and declerlng an emergency,
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing ordinance be finally approved and adopted.
Seconded by Mayor Robinson. On roll call all members voted aye. The ~or declared the motion carried.
An ordill8nce confirming the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1945,

I and fixing tax levies for said year 1945 as heretofore made and levied by the City Conmission meeting
and sitting for that purPose on the 2nd day of October, 1944, and declsring an emergency.
It waB moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing ord nance be final4r awroved and adopted.
Seconded by J.lsyor Robinson. On roll call all mSmbers voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
A written request of Percy I. Adams,anp10yed in the Street Department, for a leave of absence to enter
Government service for the duration of the wsr, came before the CoJlJllission. After due consideration .the
reques~ WSB granted.
