The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 A.!,~. and was called to order by Mayor Epperson. Roll call
,Irevealed the follmvi.ng officers present: ~layor Epperson, Connnissioners Steele and Jolmson, Attorney Wilson

'asked to bring in a written ~rotest addressed to the City Com.ission.

Three bids for the constFQction of concrete sidewalks were opened as follows: Gordon J. Lynch, $43,525.00; I
,Oflens Brothers, $29,460.00; Port ConstFuction Co., $31,595.00. Commissioner Johnson made a motion referring
"the bids to the Engineer's Department for further consideration. The bids will be passed upon next Wednesday
October 23, 1946. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All members voted Aye. Motion .carried. ,'I

reading, and finally adopted:

AN OHDINAJlCE confirming the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1947, and I
'fixing tax levies for said year 1947 as heretofore made arid levied by the City Co"",ission meeting an::! sittilll!
for that purpose on the 9th day of October, 1946, and declaring an emergency. ;
It was moved oy l:ayor Epperson that the foregoing two ordinances 'De passed third reading and adopted.

It was moved by lCommissioner Steele that the opening of, bids for four unit
be extended one week from November 6th to November 13th, as printed i11 the,
Seconded by Mayor Epperson. All members voted Aye. rotion carried.
IIIt was moved by Commissioner Johnson that no building permits be granted until first passed by the City
I'Corrunission. Seconded by Commissi,oner Steele. All members voted Aye. Eotion carried. Dis cussibn brought
out the fact that building permits must 'be secured before any building or remodeling is started. IT. Lean
and Mr. Poulsen also stated that wiring and plumbing permits should be taken out before the job is started.

irailroad crossing on ~.~rine Drive and Railroad .Avenue. Commissioner Johnson made a motion authorizing the
Engineer to make application to the I'.ilwaukee for the railroad crossi,ng on the North boundary of !.:arine
Drive and Railroad Avenue, also for the crossing on the extension of Sixth Street where it crosses the
!If,ilwaukee road. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All members voted Aye. l:'otion rorried.
