'The City Council met in regular session at 7:30 P.M., and was called to order by Ma,yor Smith. R.oll call of Officers showed the following present: Mayor Smith, Councilmen Powell, Brown, Neer, Sandison, Wolle and }lcFadden, and Clerk Law. . It was moved by Councilman Brown that minutes of October 2d meeting and Budget hearing of October 6th be approved as received. JllOtion seconded by Councilman Powell. All voted Aye. Hotion carried. Under the head of unfinished business, the Council again considered bid by J. M. Davis for Lots 11 and 12, Block 292, Townsite. Mr. Davis having submitted assignment to Corporation of the Catholic Arch- bishop of See,ttle, Washington, it was moved by Councilman Brown that the "ouncil accept the bid of $2,625.00 by Mr.' Davis with assignment to the Corporation of Catholic Archbishop. Mot~on seconded by Councilman McFadden 3ld unanimously carried. Under the head of new business, one request for transfer of beverage license was received from Conrad IS Cafe. It was moved by Councilman Brown that the request be approved. Seconded by Councilman Sandison. All voted Aye. Motion carried. The Council discussed purchase of a.bookkeeping machine for the City utilities. It was moved by Councilman \ XcFadden that call for bids for said machine be published and opened November 6. Seconded by Councilman Neer. All members voted Aye. Motion carried. Mayor Smith read a letter from the Mayor of Sequim, acknowledging receipt of intention of the Council to attend the Regional meeting of the Association of Washington Cities, October 22, to be held in Sequim. The Council received request for approval of transfer of for hire licenses of Red's. Taxi and Black and ,White Cabs from Bessie Malesky to the new owner, George A. Vlells. Also filed was. schedule of rates to be charged. Chief Ide having investigated and recommended transfer of licenses, it was moved by Councillr18n Brown that the request be e.pproved. Seconded by Councilman Wolfe. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
