IThe Commission met in regular session at 10:00 A.M., and was called to order by Mayor Feeley.

Under the head of unfinished business, Mr. Jolmson appeared regarding license application for a pop-corn
';wagon. Due to absence of Chief Ide, final decision was withheld until the next session.
Under the head of new msiness, Dr. Risser and Don Morrison cited accomplishments by their department during
the,past year. They also informed the Commission regarding epidemics and water pollution. It was their
opinion that water pollution resulting from cleaning operations of reservoirs is responsible for outbreak
of epidemics and recommended that the City provide chlorination for all water, whether supplied direct from
main or reservoir. Commissioner Taylor informed that his department will co-operate with the Health
Department to eliminate the said pollution.
I!Gilbert Harper, local mortician, requested infonnation regarding removals and sale of lots in Ocean View
Cemetery. The Commission made no definite decision until specific rules and regulations are established.
IFire Chief Wolverton presented vouchers from Irwin and Johnson for truck repair. The mdget item of truck
operation being insufficient to pay amounts due, the Cllr.lltli~sion ordered voucher claims peid, and emergency
,ordinance passed at a later date.
Notice of logging operations in Ennis Creek water shed by Jones and Newell as per contract was presented.
'Date of starting said operations was October 6, and deliveries being made to Port Tie and Lumber Company.
'The ,notice was approved and ordered filed.
'Under the head of reading and passage of Ordinames the following was placed on third and final reading:

'AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles grar.ting to the united States of America, Department of the
IInterior, acting by and through the BonnevillEj. Power Administrator, a right of way for the Construction,
,operation and maintenance of a six inch pipe line and facilities appurtenant thereto, across and under
certain City streets of the City of Port Angeles, Washington.
lIt was moved by Commissioner Taylor thet the foregoing Ordinance be passed thiLrd and final reading and
adopted. Seconded by Mayor Feeley. All voted Aye. Motion carried.

ORDINANCE NO. 1215
AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the tudget of the City of Port Angeles for the fiscal year 1950 and
'declaring an emergency.

~N ORDINANCE confirming the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1950, and
1',fiXing tax'levies for said year as heretofore made and levied by the City Commission of said City meeting
'and sitting for such purpose on the 5th day of October, 1949, and declaring an emergency.
It was moved by Commissioner lliylor thet the foregoing Ordinances be placed on first and second readings.
Seconded by Mayor Feeley. All voted Aye. !lotion carried.
