"_..._,~""._...,,_ 'm._ II The Corrmission met in regular session at 10 A.M., and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll Gall '., shovred the follovring Officers present:, Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Attorney Johnston, land Clerk Hawkins. .' . The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head 0 f applications for building permits, the following was granted: Erma C. ~ountain, Remodel, add 1 room, Lot 15, Elk. 3, Hart &.Cook Subd..$ 500.00 I Under the head of new business: Ralph Lawrence, Chairman of the Board of P.U.D. Commissioners, C. W. Keller' i and others appeared before the Corrmission !!Ild asked that a call for bids for the sale of' the City Light and II 'Water Systems South of the City Limits be made. After due consideration it was determined by the CommiSSion, 'not to offer the Light System South of the City lin:its for sale at this time. It was therefore moved by ! Mayor Rooinson that a call for bids for the sale of theeDomestic Water System South of the City Limits be made. I Seconded ,by Commissioner Beam. On roll call, all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried;' IA petition signed by Charles N. Webster and others, petitioning the City Commission to vacate the sidewalk I and palichJg strip on the North side of Carolill.El Street between Eunice and Francis Streets, being a strip 450 feet'long by 19 feet wide, abutting on the South side of Blocli: 33, Noman R. Smith Subdivision of Port. ,Angeles.' The petition was referred to the City Engineer for checking and report back to the Commission. A petition signed by E. G. Lowry and John Larkin, petitioning the City Commission to vacate Virginia Park and Terrace, a subdivision of Suburban Lot 12, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington. The petition was I referred to the City Engineer for checking and report back to the Commission. An agreement came before the Commission for approval, by' and betvreen the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Port Angeles, and the Board of Library Trustees of Clallam County, whereby it is mutually agreed that certain costs in the operation of said Library shall be shared in the manner and detail as set forth ! in the said agreement. It was moved by Mayor Robinson that the said agreement be approved. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call, all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion caITied. I 'Iunder the head of introduction of Resolutions, the following was introdticed: I RESOLUTION I I WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the ~mer of the following described real property, having acquired I same by Treasurer's deed dated October 31, 1945, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of Rami~~tonls Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-vrit: I the I I i Lot Nine (9), Block Tvrenty-two (22), Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and ~ \VHEREAS, Esther A. Edwards has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $400.00, payable as follo.,s: $40.00 as a down payment, and $15.00 on or before the . first day of December, 1945, and '$l5.00 on or before the first day of each and every month thereafter until II paid in full, together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum, computed on monthly balances due and I' paid with the monthly installment, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion t~t the offer is fair value' and at this tinE it is to the best interest of the city that it be accepted and the sale made. I NCJ!f, TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and tffit the City of Port Angeles sell the Said' property at private sale to the said Esther A. Edwards, for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit clai'll deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to c~untersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was mo~ed by Coumissioner t~sters that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by , Commissioner Beam. On roll call, all members voted Aye.
