Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Beam and Maste:s,..Attorney Conniff and Cle rk Hawk ins . The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Police Judge, Thos. Geisness, reported 52 cases tried and $209.50 collected in fines for the month of October, 1939. Report ordered filed. Under the head of ~pplications for Building Permits the following was granted: R. W. Ruffle, Tourist Apt. Lots 6 & 7, Block 24, N.R. Smith Subd. 5000.00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port !Angeles is the owner.of the following described real property, having acquired the. same by Treasurer's deed, dated October 2B, 1959, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit: The West one-half of Lot Seven (7) and all of Lot Eight (B), Block Three Hundred Twenty-three (525) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clall!llD County, Washington, and WHEREAS, Pete Psomas has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $400.00 payable as follows: $100.00 as a down payment and the balance of $500.00 in semi-annual payments; $50.00 on or before the 1st day of MBy,.1940, and $50.00 on or before the 1st day of each and every six months period thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed on the balance due at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with each six months installment, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the emount paid by the City for the said property, plus all L.I.D. Assessments, including interest abd other charges against the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITffi50LVED that said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said PETE PSOMAS for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the l.tty of Port i>\ngeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit xlaim deed, when the purchase price end all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Unfinished Blsiness, - The following ordinance was read by title and passed its seoond reading: AN ORDINANCE providing for the leasing to Puget Sound Navigation Company, a corporation, its successors or assigns of all that portion of Laurel Street in tthe City of Port Angeles, Washington, lying northerly of the north line of Railroad Avenue, for the construction, operation and maintenance of a wharf, ware- house, ferry slip and approeches. Under the head of New Business,- A communication was read frOJlli the Recreational Council reconmending and subnitting the name of Merle C. Fisher for appointment es an active member of the Council. Therefore in accordance with t he above recommendation it was moved by Commissioner Masters that the said Merle C. Fisher be appointed an active member of the Recreational Council. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
