Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Acting Attorney Taylor and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted: Leonard J. Knudsen, Build House, Lot 7, Block 180, !ownsite Eva Dalton, Build Addition to House, Lot 9, Block 582, Townsite Arthur E. Anderson, Build Garage, Lot 6, Block 505, !ownsite Ivan ,C. Mesford, Remodel Dwelling, Lot 3, Block 344, Townsite J. M. Johannes, Build House, W! Lot 16, Block 261 N. R. SmithSubd. Jack Del Guzzi, Build House, Lot 14, Block 359, Townsite Ben Woods, Remodel Dwelling, Lot 15, Block 3, Subd. of Sub. Lot 17 M. Phillips, reported 54 cases tried and $586.50 collected in fines for month of October, 1941. Report ordered filed. Under the head of Introductions of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced: RESOliJTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described property, having acquired the same b.r Treasurer's deed dated October 50, 1941, under and b,r virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lot Eighteen (18), Block Fifty (50), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and WIIEIlEAS, Bert Smith has offered to purchase the obove described real property from the City of <'ort Angeles for the sum of $100 .00, payable as follows: $10.00 as a down payment and $5.00 on or before the 25th day of November, 1941, and $5.00 on or before the 25th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full; interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on the balance due and paid with the monthly installments, and WHEREAS, 'he 'City Colmlission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments, in- clUding all interest and other charges against the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the said offer be accepted and that the Cit;y sell the said property at private sale to the said Bert Smith, for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is he re b.r instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The ~Iayor declared the motion carried. RESOlUTICN WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the same by Treasursr's Deed dated June 1, 1938, under and b,r virtue of the authority of Section 9395 of RemingtOli'sRevised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 19~9, page 565, to-wit: Lots Five (5 ) and t;ix (6), Block Four (4), Westphal's First Subdivision of Port Angeles, Washington, and WHEREAS, Carrie /Anderson has offered to purchase the abovs described real propert;y from the Vi tu of Port Angeles for the sum of $225.00, payable as follows: $22.50 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the 1st day of December, 1941, and $lO.G'O on or before the first day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full; interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on the belance due and paid with the mbnthly installments, and WHEREAS, The City Ccmmission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value 'and is in excess of the amount paid by the said City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, including all interest and other charges against the same: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Carrie Anderson for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the city Attorney be instructed to prepare a qui.t claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, i and he is hereb,r instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be, and he is he reby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed, when the purchase pri.ce and all I accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. RE5OF;UTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, to-wit: Lot Ten (10) and the West 14 feet of Lot Nine (9), Block One Hundred Twelve (112), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, having ecquired Lot Ten (10), Block One Hundred Twelve (11~), To.msite of Port ~eles, by Treasurer's Deed, dated July 17, 1957, under and by virtue of the ..uthority of Section 9395 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, Page 565, and the West 14 feet of Lot Nine (9), Block One Hundred Twelve (1l2), Townsite of Port Angeles, November 5, 1941, by deed issued by the Trustees of the G. M. Lauridssn Charity Trust Fund, under the will of G. M. PO<lOO WHEREAS, Letha Ellis has offered to purchase the above described property from the City of Port '"ngeles for the sum of $550 .00, payable as follows: $65.00 as a down payment and $15.00 on or before the 21st day of November, 1941, and $15.00 on or before the 21st day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest on monthly balances computed at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the monthly installments, and WHEREAS, The vtty COllllllission has viewed ths said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the I said property at private sale to the said Letha Ellis for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any othar valid liens agnnst the same; that the City Attorney be instructsd to prepare a quit claim deed '1 conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is I hereb,r instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that ths MayOr of the Ci~ of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. M. Davis has offered to purchase the above described real proper~ from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $400.00, payable as follows: $40.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the 25th dqr of 'December, 1941, and ~~O.OO on or before ths 25th day of each and every month thereafter until , paid in full; interest to be computed on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the I monthly ins tallment s, and 1'illEREAS, the City Conunission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale I made. Davis for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Cle"k of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of said City of Port Angeles be, and I he is hereb,r instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full.
