Officers pr~sent were: Mayor Feel8,7, Commissioners Robinson and Taylor, Attorn8,7 Trumbull and Clerk Law. Minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Recreation Grill Recreation Grill Soft Drink, 9 Months Restaurant, 9 Months Under the head of applications for city licenses, the following were granted: , Under the head of unfinishsd business, Commissioner Taylor spoke regarding transformer bids, informing' that the Commission had been advis ed no communications or quotations were received. Commissioner Taylor also informed that while further investigating, he is advised that communications were received from Allis- Chalmers and Westinghouse. Also that these matters are of vital importance to the Commission. Ma;yor Feeley ci ted intention of the Commission in a meeting when the Commission instructed that quotations be requested, and that the same should have been submitted to the Commission. It WaS moved by Commissioner Ta;ylor that all future correspondence concerning expenditure of City funds be submitted to the Commission. Seconded by Mator Feeley. All voted Aye. Motion carried. . Pursuant to calls for bids to furnish hose for the Fire Department, one bid was received as follows: Howard. Cooper Corp.: 600' of 2~1I coupled hose @ 1.83, $1,098.00; 600' of li" coupled hose @ 1.04, $624.00; f.o.b. Port Angeles, sales tax not included; less zf, guaranted by Ralph McKiernan, when paid from' the 1951 budget. Fire Chief Wolverton informed that the bid submitted is for first class hose and by purchasing now, the City will save contemplated increase of H1%. It was moved by Ma,yor Feeley that the bid be accepted, ,delivery to be in December and paid from the 1951 budget. Seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye. I Motion carried. I Th~ Commission instructed Earl Davidson to obtain appraisal of property at 109 Ea~t 14th Street, for which bids were published and will be opened November 13th. lUndeI' the head of new business, the Park Board requested thatlransfers be made in certain items in the I current Park budget. The request was approved and funds will be transferred by proper resolution, including I requests by other departments. . _ - , I Commissioner Robinson informed that unit substation transformers, equipment and accessories are required for the distribution system. It was moved by Commissioner Robimon that the call for bids be published and opened November 20th. Motion seconded by Commissi<?ner Ta,ylor. All voted Aye. Motion carried. Police Chief Ide requested that bids be published for a new patrol car for his department and it was moved by'MByor Feeley that the bids be published according to specifications as determined by the Chief, and opened November 20th.
