The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor
Davis. Roll call showed the following off,icers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners
Lutz and Masters, Attorney Plummer and ulerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and apprOved.
Police Judge, Thomas Geisness, reported 21 cases tried and ~117.00 colleoted in
fines for the month of October, 1934. Report ordered filed.
Under the head of Applications for BUilding Permits and Licenses, the following
were granted:
C. Kvale, Garage, Lot 13, Blk. 247, Townsite
Benj. Franklin Thrift Store, Change Store Front, Lot 9, Blk. 1. Tide~and W.

Under theheadof Introduotion of Resolutions, the following Resolution was intro-
duced:
RESOLUTION TO SUPPLY MATERIALS FOR USE WITH
STATE EMERGENCY RELIEF ADMINISTRATION FOR.
WASHINGTON
.ffiEREAS, the ~tate Emergenoy Relief Administration for Washington has arranged to
supply certain labor for improvements on Port Angeles Cemetery, it being required that
the City of Port Angeles arrange to supply small tools and oaterpillar tractor in
making said improvements and
VdEREAS improvements of the Port Angeles Gemetery is deemed to be a desirable
improvement and it is determined that small tools and caterpillar tractor in amount
and for prices hereinafter set forth are nece~sary to carry out said work,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the vity of Port An~eles do furnish, provide
and deliver all neoessary small t9,01s and caterpillar traotor as follows, to wit:
Small tools:
10 Mattocks
10 Picks
10 Br}lsh Hooks
10 Shovels, L.H.R.P.
10 Rakes

The above tools and oaterpillar tractor is to be used in comneotion with labor to
be furnished by the Washington Emergency Relief Administration.
It was moved by Commiasioner Lutz that the foregoing Resolution be approved and
adopted. Seoonded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The
Mayor deolared the motion carried.
,Under the head of New Business,-
Past experienoe show that each year we have a period of heavy rainfall causing
overflow of rivers and streams,and landslides, etc. creating emergency cperations to
repair damage thus caused.
The Commission therefore instructed the Mayor and City, Clerk to notify the WERA
that the City would appreciate a set up for such emergency projects as will give
immediate relief in case such emergency relief became necessary; the City agreeing to
furnish all necessary equipment, materials and supplies.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants
drawn for same:
