HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 11/14/1934 ~ 252 Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington November 14. 1934 193_ ~ The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed the following offioers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Lutz and Masters, Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the last session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Licenses the following was granted: Natural Gas Corporation, Master Plumber 15.00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the follillwing Resolution was I introduced: RESOLUTION TO SELL PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described property in said City, to wit: Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10), Blook One hundred fifty-seven (157) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, which property has been acquired by the City on foreolosure of delinquent local improvement assessments under Chap. 205 of the ~ession Laws of 1927, and WHEREAS, one C. A. Eamiston has offered to purchase the said property for the sum of Five Hundred fifty ($550.00) Dollars, with general taxes to be fully paid to this date, and tm' purchase price to include the payment of all outstan~ing looal improvement district assessments to be paid by the City from time to time from the proceeds of this sale; the terms of the sale are to be Fifty Dollars cash and Fifteen Dollars per month, with interest until paid. .ffiEREAS, the City Commissioners have viewed the said property and given full oonsideration to its value and the offer made is good value for the property and represents the flill value thereof and is in excess of the general taxes and all ild!lrOVe- ment assessments levied against the property. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the offer of the said C. A. Edmiston be and is hereby accepted by the City Commission and tha t the City sell the property for the price and at the terms above mentioned; That a contract be drawn by the City Attorney to conform to the above terms; the Mayor and the City Clerk be and said officers are hereby authorized to execute the said oontract on behalf of the City on reoeipt of the cash payment, and that the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver to the purchaser a deed to the said property upon the c6mpletion 6f the payments provided for in the contract of sale. It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolution be appr6ved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
