The Cammission met in regular sessian at 10 a.m. and was called ta order by Mayar Beetle. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayar Beetle, Commissioner Lind, Attarney Canniff and Clerk
Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building permits and Licenses the follawing were granted:
G. M. Besom, Build Garage, Lot 17, Block 142, Tawnsite
James Fitzgerald, fuild Garage, Lots 1 & 2, Block 267, Tawnsite
C. W. Taylor, Master Plumber
Port Angeles Recreation, 6 Bowling Alleys

Under the head of Reading aIll Passage of Ordinances the following ordinance passed its third reading and
was finally passed and adopted:
AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safetYl requiring expenditures
unforeseen; providing for the issuance of emergency warrantsl and declaring an emergency making the
.ordinance immediately effective.
It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the foregoing ordinance be placed on its final reading aOO adopted.
Seconded by Mayar Beetle, On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOIDTION
WHEREAS, The :city of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property in the City of Port
Angele s, to-wit: I
Lot Five (5), Block One Hundred Six (106) of E. G. Baker's Subdivision of
Suburban Lot 10. 19 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington,
which Said property has been acquired by the City on foreclosure of delinquent local improvement assess-
menta Under Chepter 205 of the Session Laws of 1927, and
WHEREAS, Saren Christensen has offered ta purchase the above described real property from the City c1f Port
'ilngeles for the sum of $150.00, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City far said property, plus all 1.1.0. assessments,
including interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Aneeles sell
the said property at private sale to the said Soren Christensen for tha sum hereinabove set forth, subject
to ailO' other valid liens against the same; that the City lIttorney be instructed to prepare a deed con-
veying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Treasurer be authprized ta execute the said deed
in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and ~pter 275, Session Laws of 1927.
It was moved by Mayor Beetle that the faregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commis-
sioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Ma30r declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Reports from Gi ty Officers the following were read,

Gentlemen:
The thirty day period since the completion and acceptance of the work done by the Washington
Asphalt CompailO', contractors, on City Street Pro.iect No. 14, has elapsed and no incomplete or defective
work has been discovered for which the City makes claim.
I therefore recOmlllend that the 15% retained ($3580.55) of the coet of the work be paid the
contractar, Washbgton Asphalt Company.

It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the faregoing E.'1gineer' s report be a ccepted and the City Clerk be
instructed to issue a warrant in the sum of $5580.55 to the contractars, Washington Asphalt Co. Seconded
by Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motian carried.

Part Angeles, Washington
Gentlemen:
The thirty day period since the completion and acceptance of the work done by the Washington
Asphalt Co., contracto rs, on City Street Project No. 15, has elapsed and no incomplete or defective work
has been discovered for which the City makes claim.
I therefore recommend that the 15% retained ($846.50) of the cost .of the work be paid the con-
tractor, Washington Asphalt Co.

It was moved by Commissioner Lind that the faregoing Engineer's report be accepted and the City Clerk be
instructed to issue a warrant in the sum of 1846.50 to the Contractors, Washington Asphalt Company.
Seconded by Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members vated aye. The Y~yor declared the motion carried.

It was moved by Collll1lissioner Lind that the City Treasurer have permission ta make the above transfers.
Seconded by Mayor Beetle. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of New Business:
Bert Smith having assigned his interest in and to Lot 5, Block 75, lm<nsite of Port Angeles to Dudley W.
Dunlap, requested in writing that when the contract of sale is completed that the deed be issued to the
said Dudley W. Dunlap. <:
The sa.le of the above described prcperty was autharized by resolution dated November 15, 1940, and
recorded in Vol. 20 of ~ollll1lissioners' Proceedings on page 217. There being no objections the City Clerk
was instructed to issue the deed to said property to Dudley W. Dunlap as requested, when all the terms of
the sale are completed.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered wareanta drawn for same:
