The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order qy Uayor Beetle. Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Com~ssioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Licenses the following was granted: Chas. C. Jeckel Peddler's License 10.00 Under the head of New Business: Written requests for leave of absence to join the Military forces for the duration of the war, of G. C. Williams, Leonard Pederson and Thos. Hutchings, employees of the Light Department, then came before the Commission. After due consideration the requests were granted, Under the heed of Introduction of Resolutions the follovnng Resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Camp Angeles is an army camp located within the limits of the City of Port Angeles; and, WHEREAS, both the Headquarters, Harbor Defenses of Puget So~~d and the City of Port Angeles are concerned with sanitary conditions in said camp; and, WHEREAS Camp Angeles is constructing a sewer system to serve sais camp which would have its natural out- let in the manhole located on Evans Avenue opposite the alley between Fourth and Fifth Streets in BIDck One of Aldwell's :"'bdivision of Suburban Lot Thirty-fhe, 'Iownsite of Port Ar.geles, Washington in Clallam County, Washington; and, WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is anxious to cooperate with Camp Angeles in all of its sanitary measures; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City COlmnission of the .city of Port Angel.es that the Headquarters, Harbor Defenses of Puget Sound be, and they are hereby authorized and licensed to cor~ect the sewer system now being constructed on and under Canp Angeles with the manhole located on Evans Avenue opposite the alley between Fourth and Fifth Streets in Block One of Aldwell' s Subdivision of Suburban Lot Thirty-five, Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, in ,clallam ''-'ounty, Washington; a ffi3.p of saic camp sewer and manhole beine attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, the menhole being at the place indicated by the erro" near the top of said :nap with the legend "End of Project". It was moved Cy Commissioner Lind that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded Cy i ' Cow~issioner Bearr.. On roll call all members voted aye. lhe Mayor declared the motion carried.
