All voted Aye. Motion carried. i The Commission again considered the proposal of A. B. Crowley whereby he offered to pay the City $4,500.00 I for the house and lot at 109 East 14th Street, $500.00 down, balance terms. Commissioner Taylor informed that Dick Wray has offered $4,500.00 cash and it was agreed that this would be the best deal for the City. The matter was referred to Commissioner Taylor who will contact Mr. Wray. Less 15% retained Amount due contractor $6,330.10 949. 52 $5,380.58 Under the head of new business, Mr. Carr appeared regarding purchase of second growth and down timber on city property in the Ennis Creek watershed. Commissioner Taylor advis ed that it would not be good business to sell timber or land as the City might at some time need an auxiliary water supply and protection of the same is imperative. This was also referred to Commissioner Taylor to investigate possibility of selling down timber for pulp wood. Yours very truly, Hennan Ahlvers, City Engineer E.- A. Stewart of P6rt Angeles Motors infonned that surface water accumulates at rear of their sales lot on West First Street, causing hazard and inconvenience, which could be eliminated if the alley is properly drained. The Engineer expressed doubt if drainage could be accomplished as the alley is too low for catch basins to drain said alley. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor that bhe request be referred to the Engineer to check conditions. Motion seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye: Motion carried. Commissioner Robinson informed that it is necessary to purchase 1,200 feet of #3/0 single conductor and 1,400 feet of 350,000 Circular Mil, single Conductor. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor that the call for bids 1 be published and opened December lith. Seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
