I The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed
. the following officers present: M~ or Davis, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk
Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building "ermi ts the following were granted:
. A. Jones, Construct woodshed and Garage, W 57~ Lot 7, Blk. 25, N. R. Smith's Subd.
Toni Ozarinski, 1I0veBuUding, Lot 4, Blk. 85, Townsite
Alfred Nichols, Build Addition, Lot 18, Blk. 273, Townsite
H. ~. Beatty, Construct Tool Shed, Tax Lot 606, Bub. Blk. 10

Under the head of ~ev, Business,-
J. Lyle Beam tendered his resignation as a member of the Firemen and Police Civil Service Commission to
take effect as of this date.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resignahon be accepted. Seconded by Mayor
Davis. On roll call all members voted aye. lhe Mayor declared the motion carried.
Mayor Davis then placed the name of Percy E. Pollanz in nomination for appointment to fill the vacancy
on the Firemen and Police Civil Service Comnission. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing
appointment be confirmed. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. ..Lhe
Mayor declared the motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims a nd ordered warrants drawn for sarne:

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, L. T. Haynes and Ray L. Haynes for a number of years held Lots 1, 2 aOO 5 in Block 43 of NOIman
R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Porl Angeles, Clallam County, State of Washington, with the idea
that arrangements would be made with the City of Port Angeles to dedicate and uSe the same for Park
purposes; and
WHEREAS, such armngements have been made to that end;
NOVl, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES:
That Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block 43 of the Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the townsite of Port A.ngeles,
Clallam Go~nty, State of Washirigton, be and they hereby are dedicated for Park purposes, and that the
name of sa1d park shall be HAYNES PARK.
It was moved by CommisSioner Masters that the foregoing rl~solution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. he Mayor declared the motion carried.
