HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 12/03/1973 384 PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, WASH. December 3, 1973 The Council met in special session at 7:30 P.M. Officers present were Mayor Basom, Councilmen Hordyk, Lukey, Olson, Ross, Haguewood and Wray; Manager Puddy and Clerk McNeece. The purpose of this meeting was to hold the Public Hearing and for fixing the final budget for the year 1974. Approximately 25 citizens were present and a number spoke in favor of preee!: serying the greenbelt areas in the various locations in the City, aIDlieye~ili6eted requested the City to include in the 1974 budget monies to purchase property in the Valley Greenbelt area. (The Ellington and Johnston property.) The question of using Revenue Sharing money and applying for grants to pur- chase the property arose. The City Manager explained that Revenue Sharing monies cannot be used as matching funds to obtain grants.
