Under the head of unfinished rnsiness the Commission discu.ssed the bids for four-unit substations and after
due consideration, it was moved by Co~p.issioner Steele that the bid submitted qy General Electric Company,
of J129,946.00, be accepted. Seconded by COlllf.lissioner Johnson. All memiJers voted Aye. ~:otion carried..
The COlllIllissior. expressed their appreciation to each of the compan;.es submitting bids, thanking them for
time and effort spent.

Iii ids to furnish lenses for Civic Stadium flood lights were opened. Three bids were submitted, General
bectric Supply Corp., Westinghouse Electric Supply Co., and Graybar Electric. All bids being $lO.BO for
'each lense, vdth tVIO per cent discoud, a dr'aveing from the hat was suggested, and I'(<rs. Hampton, reporter
for the Ne1'!s, drew the bid of General Electric Supply Oorp. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the
bid of General Electric Supply Corp. be accepted. Seconded by !.:ayor Epperson. All voted Aye. Eotion
carried.
The one bid by Aiken !.:otor Co. for Oldsmobile Sedan for the Police Department was opeMi Amount of bid was
~1,755.62, trade-in allowance, $455.62. lIet cash due, January 1, 1947, ,)1,300.00, vnthout interest. It
was noved by Vayor Epperson that the bid be accepted. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All voted Aye.

Under the head of new business, Light Supt. I.ean requested permission to publish call for bids for twelve
,transformers, pole type, bids to oe opened December 31, 1946. It vras moved qy Commissioner Steele that the
pall for aids be published. Seconded by Comissioner Johnson. All members voted Aye. I,'otion carried.

Payor Epperson announced that the Active Glub has requested permission to use
Oity ovmed lots at Fifth and Licoln Streets, from vrhich to sell Christmas trees
from December 15th to 25th, all proceeds to go in their fund used for charitable
purposes. It was moved by leayor Epperson that the request be granted. Seconded
by Colffi'lissioner Johnson. All voted Aye. Eotion carried.

The I.'ayor also informed that he had attended a meeting of the Executive Doard of Associated 'i/ashington
Cities held in Seattle, and the date of next Convention had been set for ~ay 14, 15, and 16, 1947.
Commissioner Steele made a moticn that bonds for appointed officials, expiring January first, be renewed as
.of that date. !.lotion seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All members voted Aye. l"otion carried.
~nder the head of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the Oity, the follmnng was
