The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed
the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Ulttorney Conniff and Clerk
Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Thos. Geisness, Police Judge, reported 32 cases tried and $329.00 collected in fines for the month of
November, 1939. Report ordered filed.
Under the head of Applications for Licenses the following were granted:

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOIlJTION DESIGNATING TAn STAND
WHEREAS, The owners of the property abutting on the following described street area has consented to the
use of'a certain portion of street area abutting their property as a taxi stand,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGEL8S AS FOLLJWS:
That the following described area be and it is hereby fixed as a taxi stand for Frank Schmidt and known
as "Gity Cab" to-wit:
Begin~ing at a point 25 feet west of.the east line of Lot 7, Block 1, Tideland east
of Laurel Street, running thence east, measuring along the curb a distance of thirty
feet. Said space is named for a taxi stand reservation for two cabs of Framk Schmidt.
The taxi cabs to be parked at tile taxi stand in the follewing manner. One car
parallel with the curb facing west, the second car to be parked at a 30 degree angle
to the curb at the rear of the first car.
This resolution is adopted in conformity with the authority and provisions of Section 15, Ordinance
No. 900, of the City of Port Angeles, Washington.
It was moved by Commissd.oner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. On roll ca+! all members voted aye. The Mijyor declared the motion carried.
RESO~UTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles has purchased from the State Department of Highways 332 Cu. Yds. of
crushed gravel @ .80~ per Cu. Yd. amounting to $265.60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOl,VED BY THE CITY COWLISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, That the State
Auditor be and the said State Auditor is hereby authorized to set aside from the gas tax accruing to the
City of Port Angeles, under the provisions of Chapter 181 of the Laws of 1939, the sum of $265.60 in
payment of said grsvel, and pay the same to the Department of Highways upon presentation of vouchers
properly certified by the Director of Highways.

It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants dra.m for same:
