Roll call showed the following office~s present: Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam and Masters, Atto~ney Johnston and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the prsvious .session were read and approved. Under the head of new business: - George VI. Byrns, having completsd the payments for Lot 17 Block 277 Townsite, under the provisions of that certain resolution passed by the City Commission May 19, 1945 and recorded in Vol. 20, Page 528 of Commissioners Proceedings, ~equested in writing that the deed to said property be madE! out to F10rence Il. Byrns. There being no oqjections, the City Clerk was instructed to is8li.e the deed as requested. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted: I I ~ ,... Drske, Build garage, Lot 15, Block 48, Townsite Under the head of Introduct:l,on cf Resolutions, the following Resolution was introduced: ~oo .00 100.00 .200.00 1,000.00 190.00 I Resolution WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the same by l'r,easurer's Deed, dated December 1, 1944, under and by virtue of the authority of "ection 9595 " of Remington's Revised 'statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10), B:1.ock One Hundred and Six (106) of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and WHEREA~, Fred Owens and Richard Owens, having offered to purchase theabove described real property from the City of Port Angeles, for the sum of fBoq.oo; and WHEREAS, The City Commission of Port Angeles has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the Gity for said property, plus all L.LD. . - assessn!ents, includill8 interest and other charges against the same. NOW, T1i,EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City .of Port Angeles sell the said pr.operty at private sale to the said Fred Owens and Richard Owens, for the !!U1Il hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the ~ity Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchase;, and that the City Clark of the Gity of Port Angeles be and he ,is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port~ -,- Angele~ be' and he is here~ instructed to countersign said qu~t claim deed. Passed ~y )he City Commission an:! signed by the Mayor this 6th day of December, 1944. It was moved by Commissioner Heam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by. Commiss,ioner Masters. On roll call all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under ~he head of Reading and Passage of Ordinances, the following Ordinance was read by. Title and passed its 5rd reading and adopted: An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. ll26, of the City of Port Angeles, adopted by the City Commies ion on May 17th, 1944, regulating and licensing the business of distributing an:! exhibiting certain amusement devices. I It was jnoved by Mayor llobinson that the for,egoing prdinance be approved an:! adopted.. Se.conded.by Commissj.oner Beam. On roll call all members voted Aye.
