Roll call showed the following officers present: M~or Davis, Oommissioners Henson and Masters, "ttorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted: E. C. Hettman, Build Garage, Lot 9 & wi of Lot 8, Blk. 2~4, Townsite Hugo DelGuzzi, Remodel Building, Lot 1, Blk. 31, N. R. ~mith's Subd. RJi.:SOLUTION Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced: 150.00 60.00 V/liEREAS', The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following desoribed real property which was regularly aoquired for municipal purposes, which are however, no longer needed, The East half of Lot Seven (7J, Blbek Thirty-two (32) of the ,Government Townsite of the Oity of Port Angeles, Washington, and, WHEREAS Under and by the instructiuns of the City Oommission, the City Clerk o~fered the aboVe described property for sale by issuing a call for sealed bids for the purchase of the said property, bids to be opened September 29, 1937, at which time the bids Vlere opened and it was found that the bid of Donald J. ~mith and Ivor ~mith of $e,110.00 Vias the highest and best offer, and, WHEREAS, The City Commission is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the said City for said real property, including assessments, interest and other charges against same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED) That said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell said property to ilonald J. umith and Ivor Smith for the sum hereinabove set forth, that the City Attornej,l,be instructed to prepare a deed conveying SRid property to the purchasers; that the City ~lerk of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to execute said deed, and ths t the Mayor of said Oi ty be, and he is hereby instruoted to countersign said deed when the purchase price has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Henson. On roll oallall members voted aye, ~he !~yor declared the Ijlotion carried. .' Under the head of Unfinished Business, bids were opened for painting the ceiling of 'the offices of the City Building at 138 & 140 ~est Front Street, as follows: Johnson & Bork O. F. Austin Bert Wall $120.00 122.40 156.00 It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the bid of Johnson & Bork of ,~120.00 be accepted and the contract awarded to said Johnson & Bork. Motion seconded by Commission- er Henson. On roll call all members voted aye. ~he Mayor declared the motion carried.
