Proceedings of the City Commission of the City o( Port Angeles, Washington

The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Henson and Masters, ittorney Conniff
and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of November 50, and December 7, 1958, wers read and approved.
Under the:head of Applications for Licenses the following was granted:
Brickies Place, 558 Marine .Drive, Amusement Game Location License

Under the'head of Unfinished Business the following Ordinances came up for consideration:

AN ORDINANCE, regulating the preparation, inspection, marking and sale of meats intended for human
consumption; providing for the making of reasonable rules and regulations concerning the same; defining
offenses and providing penalties.
AN ORDINANCE regulating and licensing the preparation, marking, handling and sale of meats, groceries,
vegetables and other food stuffs intended for human consumption; providing a regulatory and revenue
license fee to be charged for handling the same; defining offenses and providing penalties and declaring
an emergency.

After listening to discussion by various persons present, it was moved by Commissioner Henson that the
Ordinances be laid over for further consideration. Seconded by Commissioner Masters, On roll call all
members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. .
Under the head of N~N Business,-
A. H. Matthews, having completed the payments for Lots 16 & 17, Block 451, Townsite, under the provis-
ions of that certain resolution passed September 29, 1957, and recorded in Volume 19 of Commissioners
Proceedings on page 526, requested in writing that Lot 16, Block 451, townsite, be deeded to William
Huffman and Lot 17, Block 451, Townsite, be deeded to A. H. Matthews, Sr. There being no objection the
City Clerk was instructed to issue deeds for said property as requested.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ~rdered warrants drawn for same:
