HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 12/20/1933 ,.... 170 Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington Deoember 20,1933 193_ The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was oalled to order by Mayor Davis. Roll oall showed the following officers present. Mayor Davis,Commissioners Lutz and Masters,Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of New Business,- The following resolution was intrmduoed.- RESOLUTION vmEREAS, for the purpose of keeping Railroad Avenue in Port Angeles open for trafio, it has been necessary from time to time to repair the bulkhead and abuttments adjaoent to Ramlroad Ayenue in Port Angeles harbor and the rort 0f ~ort Angeles,deeming it of aid and benefit to navigation,has been willing to oontribute oertain funds to be devoted to material for these repairs whioh,during the year 1933,are of the sum of $419.00,and lVhereas,for the year 1933 no amount was set up in the bUdget for said item; that the said money has been reoeived and represents the oost of certain two hundred forty-six' tons of reck applied for said abuttments by the Angeles Sand & Gravel Company and it is proper that said bill for rock for these abuttments be paid from the money SO received from the Port Of Port Angeles, THEHEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Commission for ,the purpose of providing a fund for receipts and disbursements for the proteotion of the bulkhead adjaoent to Railroad Avenue,does hereby create a fund to be designated by the City Treasurer as "Railroad Avenue Bulkhead Repair Fund". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That receipts for this purpose from the Port ~f Port Angeles be plaoed in said fund,including the amount of $419.00 above mentioned and now on hand and that warrants be drawn upon said fund in payment of properly audited charges against the same. It was moved by Commissioner Lutz that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the moti,on oarried. The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for same.
