The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis.
Roll call showed the follo~ing officers p~esent: Mayor Davis, Commissioners henson and
Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.

Gentlemen:
I herewith submit the second monthly estimate, December, of material furnished
and labor performed by "eorge iaylor, contractor, on the alterations of the city
building.

The bid of Johnson & Bork for painting offices and the Angeles Furniture Co. for
installing Venetian Blinds being the lowest bids, it was moved by Commissioner Henson
that the bids of Johnson & BOrk and Angeles Furniture Co. be acoepted. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the
motion carried.
The matter of awarding the contraet for the construction of an inner sidewalk railing
on the ~ighth Street Bridges over Valley and ~umwater Creek Gulches came up for
consideration, the bids being as folloVls:

It appearing that inasmuch as the bids were all alike, preferenee should be given the
local firm, therefore it Vias moved by Commrssioner Masters that the contract be awarded
to the Angeles Gravel & dupply Co. Seconded by Commissioner Henson. On roll call all
members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion cBrried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drmIU for

Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was intrcduced,
read in full, and passed its first and second readings:

AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requirin
expenditliYes unforeseen; providing for the issuance .of emergency warrants; and deolaring
an emergenoy making the ordinance immediately effective.
There being no further business the ~ommission then adjourned.
