Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington

The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. an~ was called to order by Mayor Davis.
Roll oall showed the following offioers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Beam and
Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
~he mibutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications. for Building Permits the following was granted:
R. H. Elneff, Addition to ~partment, Lot 12, Blk. 91, Townsite $400.00
Under the head of Introduotion of Ordinanoes, the following Ordinance was introduced,
read in full, and passed its first and seoond readings:
AN ORDINAN~ setting forth an emergenoy affeoting the publio health and safety; requiring
expenditures unforeseen; provid~ng for the iesuanoe of emergenoy warrants; and deolaring
an emergency making the ordinance immediately'effective.
The following Ordinanoe was introduced, read in full and passed its first reading:
AN ORDINANCE granting to the Crown Zellerbaoh Corporation, its suooessors and assigns,
the right to oonstruot, maintain and operate eleotrio power lines by means of poles and
wires to be ereoted in oertain streets, alleys and publio plaoes in the City of Port
,Angeles, for the purpose of furnishing eleotrio ourrent to oertain oorporations.
Under the head of New Business, the matter of. entering into oontraots for furnishing
gasoline for the year 1937, oame up for oonsideration and the Commission authorized the
Mayor to sign oontraots with the various gasoline dealers of the City at a fixed
maximum price.
The Commission examined an~ allowe~ the following claims and ordere~ warrants drawn for
same:
