Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington

The Commission met in regular sessilDn at 10 a.m. and was"ca~led to order by Mayor
Davis. Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor uavis, Commissioners
Lutz and Masters, Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read ani approved.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the followibg Resolution was
introduced:
RESOLUTION TO SUPPLY MATERIALS FOR USE WITH
THE WASHINGTON EMER~ENCY RELIEF ADMINISTRATION.
vmEREAS, the Washington Emergency Relief ~dministration have arranged to supply certain
labor for improvements in the Linco+n City Park, in Port Angeles, Washington, it being
re~uired that the City of Port Angeles arrange to supply the materials necessary in
making said improvements, and
VmEREAS, improvement of Lincoln City Park is deemed to be a desirable improvement and it
is determined that materials in amount and for prices as hereafter set forth are necessar9
to carry out said work.
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Port Angeles do furnish, provide and
deliver all the necessary and proper materials as follows; to wit;

Total $1008.50
The above materials in amount of $1008.50 to be fUrniahed in connection with labor
to be furnished by the Washington Emergency Relief Administration.
It was moved by Commissioner Masters that the foregoing Resolutioh be approved and
adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz.. On roll call all members voted aye. Mayor
Davis declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances, the following Ordinance was intro-
duced, read in full and placed on its first and second readings:
AN ORDIlIANCE stating facts constituting an emergency affecting the public health, and
safety and public interest, relJ.uiring expendi tures not foreseen, .declaring such emergency
to exist and fixing the amount re~uired to provide therefor and the issuance of
warrants against proper funds and declaring an emergency for the ddoption of this
ordinance.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants
drawn for same,-

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the fo11owing Resolution was intro-
duced:
RBSOLUTION
FOR TRANSFER OF ITEMS WITH IN FUND S
VffiEREAS IT APPEARS That requirements of certain departments for the year 1934,
made necessary the expenditure of sums of money greater than contemplated, on account of
Commissioners' Bonds' Treasurer and Clerk's Publications; Engineer's Repairs and travel-
ing expense; Attorney's Office ~upplies; Police Department gas and auto repair, supplies
and! e~uipment, telephone; Fire Department, supplies and equi.pmen t, telephone and truck
opera tions; and Street Department for repair of e~uipment, concrete drain pipe ani tools
and' hardware, and
WliEREAS the amounts provided for other items within the same legal classification
have not been exhausted and portions of the said sums can be transferred within the
same legal classifications, and .
VffiEREAS These requirements could not have been reasonably foreseen at the t~me of
preparations of the budget
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the following transfers of funds be made, to wit:
