The City Commission of the City of Port Angeles met in regular session at leloo A. M., and was called to
order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call showed the following officers present; Mayor Robinson, Commissioners
Beam & Masters, Attorney Johnston, and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the heading og new business, JlIlancis Pearson tendered his resignation as Sanitary Supt., to take
effect as of January 1, 1945. It was moved by Mayon Robinson that the resignation be accepted. Seconded
bj- Commissioner Beam.- On roll call all members voted Aye. The Mayon declared the motion carried.
Mayor Robinson then plaoed the name of Roy Pike in !Iomination for the position of Sanitary Supt.
It was mmved by COl'llllissioner Beam that the above nomination be approved and oonfirmed. Seconded by
Commissioner Masters. Roll call revealed all merrbers voting .~ye. The Mayo*' declared the motion carried.

Under the head of introduction of resolutions, the following resolution l~S introduced:
YmERE~J:;, the City of Port Angeles, is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed dated December 22, 1944, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9593,
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, Page 365, to~t:
Lot Seven (7)Blook Two Hundred and Fifty-Seven (257) of the Townsite of
Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, and
WHEREAS, 'George M. Ewing has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the ebeve described real
property for the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $25.00 dOlm payment, and J].0.00 011 of before the
2~rd day of January, 1945, and illO.OO on of before the 25rd day of each and e,ery month thereafter until
paid in full, toghether with the interest on monthly balances at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fa~r
I value and i8 in exceS1l of the amount paid by the City for said lots, plus all L. 1. D. assessments, in-
cludllng interest and bther charges against the same.
, imW, THEREFORE, BE If RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and that the City of Porl Angeles sell the said
property at private sale to the said George M. Ewing for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any !
other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare Ra.i quit claim deed 'I

Commissioner Beam, and ~ayor Robinson declared the motion carried.
Under the Head of Introduction of Ordinances the following Ordinance was introduced, read in full and
placed on its first and seoond readings:
Ordinance No. 11$. An Ordinance setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety;
requiring expenditures unforeseen; providing for the issuance of em.ergency warrants; and declaring an
dmergency making the Ordinance immediately effective.
