CALL TO ORDER - Regular Meeting (6:00 p.m.) – 6:00 p.m. by Deputy Mayor Williams B.ROLL CALL – Mayor Rogers absent; Councilmember Munro arrived at 6:05 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Led by Councilmember Wharton PUBLIC CEREMONIES/PRESENTATIONS 1. (1) LATE ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THIS OR FUTURE AGENDAS as determined by City Manager or Council member – Manager Madsen added Authorization to Advertise for Bids for Erickson Tennis Courts; noted dissemination of documents related to proposed Adamich Annexation, as well as Agreement for Indigent Defense Services (2) PUBLIC COMMENT This is an opportunity for members of the public to speak to the City Council about anything. To allow time for the Council to complete its legislative agenda, comments should be limited to no more than 5 minutes per person and a total of 15 minutes for this comment period. (These time periods may be lengthened or shortened at the discretion of the Mayor.) Planning Commission Minutes – Feb. 28 M-1 awarded; he also noted various meetings taking place in the area this week N. EXECUTIVE SESSION (As needed and determined by City Attorney) – 7:40 p.m. for approx. 30 minutes under the authority of RCW 42.30.110(1)(b), real estate, and RCW 42.30.110(1)(i), potential litigation, with possible action to follow. Council reconvened into open session at 8:15 p.m. and directed staff to prepare RFP for disposition of property at 215 South Lincoln Street; returned to Executive Session at 8:18 p.m. and reconvened into open session at 8:45 p.m.; no further action was taken. O.ADJOURNMENT – 8:45 p.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS Public hearings are set by the City Council in order to meet legal requirements pertaining to matters such as land use permit applications, proposed amendments to City land use regulations, zoning changes, and annexations. In addition, the City Council may set a public hearing in order to receive public input prior to making decisions which impact the citizens. Certain matters may be controversial, and the City Council may choose to seek public opinion through the public hearing process.
