CALL TO ORDER – REGULAR MEETING AT 6:00 p.m. B.ROLL CALL – All Present PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Led by Mayor Di Guilio CEREMONIAL MATTERS, PROCLAMATIONS & EMPLOYEE RECOGNITIONS 1. Disability Awareness Month B-1 1. Presented Proclamation to Russ & Wendy Bonham of Clallam County Orcas Special Olympics PUBLIC COMMENT – Jeff Robb, spoke in favor of the dissolution of the Port Angeles HarborWorks Public Development Authority and listed some accomplishments of the PDA. Darlene Schanfald, also spoke in favor of the dissolution of HarborWorks. Ken Simpson, spoke in favor of the City’s electrical permit service and expressed his concerns regarding rising permit fees. C. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS – Councilmember Nelson spoke regarding her appreciation for the Port Angeles School District and Jefferson Elementary for the Theodin Nelson Memorial at Jefferson Elementary. Councilmember Mania spoke regarding his attendance at the Tourism Summit, the Sprout Film Festival, the Clallam County Transit Board Meeting, and his boat tour regarding the WTIP, Shoreline Master Program and Harbor Resource Management Plan. He thanked Jack Harmon for volunteering his boat for the tour. Councilmember Downie spoke regarding his attendance at the dinner party for the visiting High School class from Mutsu City, Japan. He also spoke regarding his attendance at the Tourism Summit and as a celebrity bagger for the United Way fundraiser. Mayor Di Guilio spoke regarding his attendance at the meet and great at City Hall for the visiting High School class from Mutsu City, Japan. He also attended an event with Police Chief Gallagher at Peninsula College for their exchange students. Deputy Mayor Perry spoke regarding his attendance at the PA Forward Committee and the sub-committee on tourism, and also discussed rescheduling a tour of the Lower Elwha Dam. Councilmember Collins spoke regarding the Parks Oversight Committee meeting and his attendance at the dinner party for the visiting High School class from Mutsu City, Japan. Councilmember Kidd spoke regarding her attendance at the farewell dessert gathering for the visiting High School class from Mutsu City, Japan. D. WORK SESSION 1. Business Licensing D-1 1 . Discussed and directed staff to move forward with providing more information to Council. E.
