CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS None. M. INFORMATION Manager Madsen reminded Council that next City Manager Reports: meeting will be held on January 15, 2008; nd 1. Planning Commission minutes dated M-1 January 2 at 11:30 a.m., Oath of Office will November 14, 2007. be administered to new Councilmembers; and 2. PA Forward minutes dated November 8, 2007. M-17 there may be need in the interim for a special 3. November Building Report. M-20 meeting. Mayor Rogers thanked staff for tremendous year of work. N. EXECUTIVE SESSION (As needed and determined by City Attorney) – 9:05 p.m. under authority of RCW 42.30.110(1)(i), potential litigation for approx. 25 minutes with possible action to follow – reconvened into Open Session at 9:30 p.m. with no action taken. O.ADJOURNMENT – 9:30 p.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS Public hearings are set by the City Council in order to meet legal requirements pertaining to matters such as land use permit applications, proposed amendments to City land use regulations, zoning changes, and annexations. In addition, the City Council may set a public hearing in order to receive public input prior to making decisions which impact the citizens. Certain matters may be controversial, and the City Council may choose to seek public opinion through the public hearing process.
