A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Port
Angeles, Washington, adding language to Section 12 of
the Council's Rules of Procedure.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles as follows:
Section 1. The Council Rules of Procedure, as adopted by Resolution No. 13-86 and
as most recently amended by Resolution 15-99, are hereby amended by adding the following
paragraph to Section 12 of The Council Rules of Procedure.
G. In the event the number of members of any board or commission fall to the
number required for a quorum plus one, the City Manager shall have the authority
to make an interim appointment, subject to confirmation by the City Council. The
term of an interim appointment shall be for (a) the remainder of the vacant term,
(b) 6 months, or (c) until a permanent appointment is made by the City Council,
whichever is less.
Section 2. Except as provided above, the Council Rules of Procedure, as previously
adopted, are confirmed, ratified and re-adopted.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
