RESOLUTION NO. t - ~~
A RESOLUTION of the City of Port Angeles adding to Reso-
lution No.8-58, with reference to personnel policies
a new section.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles, acting through its
duly constituted legislative authority, did by resolution
adopt certain personnel rules and regulations enumerated as
Resolution No.8-58; and
WHEREAS, conditions have changed and it appears desira-

ble and to the best interest of the City and its employees to
make certain changes and additions as hereinafter set forth;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Angeles that said Resolution No.8-58 shall have added to it
a new section designated as follows:
Section XIV~ entitled "Pension Policy Governing the
Police Department". All members of the Police Department, upon
reaching the required retirement age of 55 years, will not be
required to retire prior to attaining full benefit of their

retirement, but may reques~one (1) year extension, and if the
Police Chief and City Manager approve the recommendation for
the request, the City Council shall then be requested to grant
the one (1) year extension. These one (1) year extensions can
be requested each year until the age of 60, at which time it
shall be mandatory that the police officer retire.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles
and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council
held on the ~~day of April, 1964. 4
