A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City of Po~t
Angeles, Washington, employing couns~l fer -
certain services in c0nneetio~ ~ith Local
Improvement District No. 196 of the citj" and
the issuance of bonds and ,"farrants therefor.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles, Washingtcn, is
contemplating the constructi;n and installation or certain.
sanitary sei'Jer improvements in the ?enn.3yl"vanl.a Park area and
contemplates the creation of a local improvement district to
provide all of the funds necessary to pay the cost of such
improvements; and
WHEREAS, it 1s deemed necessary and advisable that
bone. counsel be er.;plo;ye d to p.repare the proceedings ne c.e ssary
for the creation of said proposed local improvement dist~ict,
the levy of assessments therein and the issuar:ce of bonds and
warrants thereof, and to give their opinion as to the v2.1idit;y
of such bonds and \1arrants a.t the time of their issuance;
NOV!, 'l'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by th~ Council of the
City of Port Angeles~ Washington, that Preston, Thorgrimson,
HoroHitz, Starin & Ellis, attorDeys at 1m'J of ..3ea.ttle, Washington,
be and they are hereby employed to perform the services above
set forth, and as compenaatlort t~erefor tb~ city agrees to pay
them the sum of $700.00, and in addition thereto to reimburse
them for any out-of-pocket ~~genses such ~s travel and long
distance telephone calY which they may incur in the performance
of said services.
The city fu~ther agrees to furnish said couns81 at

of said local improvement district and the l.ssuance of said

Iri the event that the City shall terminate such pro~
ceedings after the public hearing on the formation of such
district and prior to the issuance of any warrants or.bonds,
the City agrees to pay said counsel the sum of $150.00 for work
performed up to the date of such termination.
PASSED by the Council of the City of Port Angeles,
Washington, and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of
said Council held on the 7th day of November, 1968.
