A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City
of Port Angeles authorizing and directing
the City Manager to sign and submit a final
grant application to the Economic Development
Administration.

WHEREAS, the downtown properties owners have approved an
~ 4 $800,000 Local Improvement district, and

\~EREAS, the $800,000 is not totally sufficient to
6 construct all the desired aspects of the downtown beautification
7 project, and
8
WHEREAS, the downtown beautification and redevelopment
9 is vital to the community's central business district, and
10
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles has previously
11 submitted a preliminary application which resulted in EDA autho-
12 rizing the submittal of a final application.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
14 the City of Port Angeles, Washington, that the City Manager is
15 hereby authorized and directed to sign and submit a final grant
16 application in the amount of $800,000 to the Economic Development
17 Administration to supplement the local property owners funding
18 for the construction of the downtown beautification project. .
