WHEREAS, in response to a petition from the Port of Port Angeles to vacate the intersection of Tumwater and First Streets, the City Council adopted Resolution 14-02, setting a public hearing to consider the street vacation petition; and WHEREAS, all of the streets around said intersection have been previously vacated in three separate street vacation ordinances, while the intersection itself was inadvertently omitted from the "one block length of Tumwater Street lying north of Marine Drive" that was vacated in Ordinance 2395, the most recent of the three ordinances; and WHEREAS, rather than proceeding with a completely new street vacation process, the City and the Port, as abutting property owner, have agreed that it will be more efficient and expedient to amend Ordinance 2395 to correct the inadvertent omission of the intersection; and WHEREAS, by amending the previous street vacation ordinance to correct the inadvertent omission, the public hearing scheduled pursuant to Resolution No. 14-02 will no longer be necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles as follows: Section 1: Resolution No. 14-02 is hereby rescinded. -1- Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to remove any notice of the previously scheduled public hearing and replace it with notice that the hearing will not be held.
