RESOLUTION NO. /6"-O--&'
A RESOLUTION of the City COQncil of the City of Port
Angeles, Washington retaining the services of M.
W. Slankard as City Manager for the City of Per t
Angeles, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles has been without a
full time City Manager for sometimej and
WHEREAS, it is the duty of the City Council of the City
of Port Angeles to fill the position of City Manager for the
City of Port Angeles with a person possessed of executive and
administrative qualifications who has actual experience in,
or has knowledge of, accepted practice in respect to the
duties of the office of City Managerj and
WHEREAS, M. W. Slankard has the qualifications and ex-
perience necessary to fulfill the position of City Manager of
the City of Per t Angelesj now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY IF PORT
ANGELES, as follows:
1. That M. W. Slankard is retained by the City of Port
Angeles as City Manager from and after the date of September
2, 1958 to serve in that position for an indefinite term.
2. That said M. W. Slankard is to be compensated for
his services by the City of Port Angeles in the amount of
$9,000.00 per annum.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles
at,s duly authorized special meeting this the 27th day of
Augus t, 1958.
