A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City of Port Angeles
expressing appreciation for the past services of re-
tiring City Clerk, J. E. Law.
WHEREAS, J. E. Law has faithfully, efficiently and honor-
ably served the City and people of Port Angeles for over thirty-
seven years, having started in November of 1924 as caretaker of
the Ennis Creek Dam, and serving the last fifteen years as city
Clerk, and is retiring at the end of the year 1961; and
WHEREAS, this service started about the time some of the
members of the present Council were born and has been such as
to justify and merit the responsibilities which have been
placed upon him by the various administrations under which he
has served; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES that J. E. Law is by this resolution commended and
thanked by the Council and on behalf of the people of the City
of Port Angeles for his many years of untiring service to the
City of Port Angeles and his successor in office is directed
/
to present him with a signed copy of this resolution.
