RESOLUTION NO. 20-17
A' RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Port
J\ngeles, Washington, establishing the route of the
water transmission pipeline from the Elwha River to
the City of Port Angeles.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is in the process of developing a
drought"-'relief program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles is required to notify the Clallam
County Commis sioners within twenty (20) days" from the 27th of June a s to which
one of three franchise alternative routes it will accept.
NOW, THEREFORE I BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Angeles that the following described route shall be the route for the water trans-
mission pipeline from the ElwhalRiver to the City of Port Angeles.
a. Ranney Well located approximately 600 feet southwest
of Salmon Rearing Channel.
b. Pipeline would proceed in a southeasterly direction
across intake for salmon-rearing channel.
c. Thence acros s former C. M" St. P. & P. Ry. Co.
right-of-way owned by Harold Sisson and across
which the City has been granted a forty (40) foot
easement.
d. Thence to the southeast corner of the City property.
e. Thence across the northwest corner of the Charles
Thompson property to the Elwha Development Company
property.
f. Thence in an easterly direction for approximately 2,680
feet to where it intersects with County Road #31050
(commonly known a 5 Halberg Road) .

g. Beginning at the westerly terminus of County Road
#31050 (commonly known as Halberg Road) and proceed-
ing east~r!Y, t.~itsJ.\nter~ecti?n:,,!th).County Road #30990
(commonly known as S.R. 112);" thence easterly along
said County-Road #30990 toHs iptersection with County
CountyrRoad'#313l0 (c6mmoi"i'ly known1as the Lower Elwha
Road) and thence ~~ortherly to "a point intersecting with
the former C.;M. '" St. .P. & P. Ry. Co. right-of-way.

h. Thence northMsterly across approximately 980 feet of the
former railroad right-of-way owned by Dalgardno to its
intersection with former railroad right-of-way owned by
the City.

i. Continuing in a northeasterly'direction-until.the former.
railroad right-of-way intersects with 18th Street; thence
easterly along 18th Street until it intersects with 16th &
II C II Streets; thence along 16th Street until it intersects
with liD" Street.
BE IT FURTHER PROVIDED that the City of Port Angeles hereby accepts
Commissioners on June 27, 1977.
the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement signed by the Clallam County
BE IT FURTHER PROVIDED that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles
shall provide a certified copy of this Resolution to the Clallam County Commis sioners
within seven {7) days after its adoption by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and approved by
its Mayor at a meeting of the Council held on the /3 ti day of ~
1977 .
