Dear Dave:
The application for lAC Outdoor Recreation Funds for twelve tennis
courts has been jointly developed by the City of Port Angeles and
School District No. 121. The twelve proposed tennis courts to be
located at the Port Angeles High School, Stevens Middle School and
Roosevelt Middle School are estimated to cost $240,000. If lAC
funding is available at 75% matching, $180.000 would be funded by
lAC and $60,000 funded by local participating agencies. School
District No. 121~ if necessary, would fund the $60~000 local
matching requirement from their Building Fund. but the School
District would hope that the City of Port Angeles would participate
in providing a part of the local matching funds required for the
project~ as the tennis courts will be used both by the City and
the School District. It is understood that the City's share can
be negotiated later.
