A RESOLUTION of the City Council of Port
Angeles, Washington, authorizing the
reconveyance of 0.50 acres of land to
the United States of America.
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Park is owned and operated by the
City of Port Angeles for park purposes pursuant to a 1906 patent
of the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, the said patent and enabling legislation
require the Lincoln Park property to be used for park purposes;
and
WHEREAS, a private residence was mistakenly constructed
some years ago in a manner that encroaches upon the City's
Lincoln Park Property; and
WHEREAS, the United States of America is requiring the
City of Port Angeles to rectify this situation by reconveying a
50' X 439.4' portion where the encroachment is occurring to the
United States of America so that it may in turn sell the property
to the homeowner in question;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, as follows:
The Mayor is authorized to execute on behalf of the

City of Port Angeles a reconveyance to the United States of
America of certain real property consisting of approximately 0.50
acres of land situated in Section 8, Government Lot 3, portion of
Suburban Lot 113 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Township 30
North, Range 6 West, W.M.
