Home My WebLink About24-88 - - RESOLUTION NO. 24-88 A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, declaring the intention of the city Council to order the improvement of a certain area within the City by doing street improvement, and by doing all other work necessary in connection therewith, and fixing a time, date, and place for a hearing on this resolution of intention. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of por Angeles, Washington, as follows: section 1. Based upon the receipt of the petitio attached hereto as Exhibit II A" and incorporated herein by thi reference, it is the intention of the City Council of the City 0 Port Angeles, Washington, to order the improvement of that certai area described in Exhibit "A", by doing street improvements, an by doing all other work necessary in connection therewith. section 2 . The City Eng ineer is hereby directed t submit to the Council at or prior to the date fixed for th hearing on this Resolution, the following: 1. An estimate of the costs and expense of the propose improvement; 2. All papers and information in his possession touchin the proposed improvement; 3. A description of the boundaries of the district; 4. A statement of the portion of the cost and expense 0 the improvement which should be borne by the property within th proposed boundaries of the District; 5. A detailed statement setting out the outstanding an unpaid local improvement assessments against the property in proposed District; and 6. A statement of the aggregate actual valuation of real estate in the District, including twenty-five percent of -1- -- - actual valuation of the improvements in the proposed District, according to the valuation last placed upon it for the purposes 0 general taxation. Section 3. All persons who desire to object to the formation of such improvement district, including the nature anc territorial extent of the improvement are hereby notified t appear and present their obj ections at a meeting of the ci t Council to be held in the Council Chamber, 321 East Fifth street Port Angeles, Washington, at 7:00 P.M. on September 6, 1988. Section 4. The city Clerk and Engineer are hereb directed to prepare and give notice of such hearing in thE following manners: 1. By publication of this Resolution in at least tw consecutive issues of the official newspaper of Port Angeles, wit the first publication to be at least fifteen (15) days prior t September 6, 1988. 2. No. 212 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Port Angeles, Washington, proposes to order the improvement of the area generally known as sixth street L. I. D. by grading, draining, paving, installing curb and gutter, and by doing all work required in connection with said improvements in accordance with Resolution No. of the City Council of the City of Port Angeles passed and approved on August 16, 1988. The total estimated cost of said improvement is approxi- mately $52,300, all of which is proposed to be borne by assess- ments against the property within the proposed improvement district specially benefitted by said improvements. A public hearing on the proposed improvements will be held before the City Council in the Council Chambers, 321 East Fifth Street, Port Angeles, Washington, at 7: 00 P.M. on September 6, 1988. Any person who may desire to file a written protest with the City Clerk should show on such protest the lot and block or other legal description of his property.
