A RESOLUTION of the City of Port Angeles setting a hearing date for a petition to vacate a portion of Columbia Street and a portion of the Columbia/Caroline alley, abutting Blocks 3 and 4, PSCC. vmEREAS, the owners of interest in Lot. 13 I Block 3; Lots 6 and 13, Block 4, all in puget Sound Cooperative Colony's subdivision to the Townsite of Port Angeles, have filed a petition with the City Clerk to make vacation of that portion of Columbia Street abutting Lot 6, Block 4, and abutting Lot 13, Block 3; and to vacate that portion of the alley abutting Lots 6 and 13, Block 4; and WHEREAS, said petition appears to have been signed by the owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon the right-of-way sought to be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. The petition to make such vacation shall be heard and determined by this Council on the 21st day of Septem- ber, 1982, which is not more than sixty (60) days nor less than twenty (20) days hereafter. Section 2. The Cit~ Clerk is hereby directed to give twenty (20) days notice of the pendency of said petition accord- ing to the provisions of RCW 35.79.020. '. ,~ ~ ~1l 1I1EMORANDUH August 12, 1982 TO: City Council .,/ FROM: Planning Departm RE: Petition to vacate a portion of Columbia Street and a portion of the Columbia/Caroline alley A petition to vacate that portion of Columbia Street abutting Lot 6, Block 4, and abutting Lot 13, Block 3; and to vacate that portion of the alley abutting Lots 6 and 13, Block 4, all in puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision to the Townsite of Port Angeles, has been received by the City. The attached Resolution sets the Council hearing date as Septem- ber 21, 1982, to meet the timing requirements of RCW 35.79.010 and allow for referral of the petition to the Planning Commis- sion for a recommendation. (The motion to pass the Resolution should also refer the petition to the Planning Commission.)
