A RESOLUTION of the City Council. of the City of Port Angeles author-
izing the conducting of a feasibility study on Public Transportation;
authorizing the City Man,ager to' ~ign the application to Washington
Department of Transportation for financial assistance; and authoriz-
ing the firm of Clark and Associates to conduct the feasibility study.
WHEREAS, many citizens have expres sed a de sire and need for a public
transportation system in Port Angeles, and
WHEREAS, the feasibility of operating a public transportation system in
Port Angele s is unknown at this time, and
WHEREAS, the Washington Department of Transportation has financial aid
available to assist in determining the viability of public transportation systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Angeles that a feasibility study be performed to determine the need for a public trans-
portation system and that the City Manager on behalf of the City is hereby authorized
and directed to Sign and submit an application for financial assistance to the Wash-
ington State Department of Transportation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the firm of Clark and Associates, 404 South
Lincoln, Port Angeles, Washington, be retained to perform the feasibility study under
the guidance of Louis A. Torres, Project Director.
