MEMORANDUM
October 15, 1982
TO: City Council
FROM: City Attorney
RE: Fair Toll Coalition
The Fair Toll Coalition, an ad hoc group of local residents, has
recently organized itself for the purpose of opposing through all
necessary means, the recently-imposed toll structure for the Hood
Canal Bridge. That toll, as adopted, uses a $2.50 base figure,
and includes an undetermined amount of revenue which will be used
to subsidize the Washington State Ferry System.
The Coalition has forwarded for the City Council's consideration
a Resolution (copy attached) supporting its efforts in opposition
to this toll schedule.
