Minutes of the regular meeting of the Port Angeles Planning Commission,
April 3, 1962.
Members present were Anderson, Driscoll, Hankins, McGee, Hunt, Reiners
and Strange. Also present was City Engineer John Warder.

First order or business was the hearing on application or Mr. Carl
Daugaard ror a variance of zonin classification on Lots -5-6 Block
Williams & Cramer Subidivie!on at the corner of 2nd and Washington treets.
Mr. Daugaardts application is for a change in zoning from 2nd class
residence to 2nd class business. No one appeared at the meeting either
for or against the application, Mr. Daugaard being out of the City. After
general discussion in which it was agreed the change in zoning would be
beneficial to the area, a motion was unanimously passed recommending to
the City Council that the application be approved.
Mr. Harold Green, being present at the meeting, was interested in a proposed
replatt of Lot 8, McGuire's addition into residence lots and also in the
availi~ility of sanitary sewersin the area and the method of payment for
same. It developed that Mr. Green had neglected to apply for approval
of a proposed subdivision of the area and inasmuch this meant there was
nothing before the Commission, the matter was laid on the table until
next meeting.
