Minute. of the regular ..eting of tho Port Angeles Planning
Co..la.ion July 19th~ 1906.

of Public Worka John B~ Warder, Building Inspector Robert
Willson, together with the City Manager and several ae.bera
at the Councllo
Due to an anticipated large attendanco tor a scheduled
hearing on the traff1c problea on ellt First Street with
reference to tour lanel atc, the Deetlng place was changed to
the Roosevelt Junior High auditorium.
First order of bUliness was con.lderation of an
application for the Crescent Shores Buildera Inco aSking for
an extension of ti.e on the variance previously granted them
to p.~it con.truction of . DorGitory on the Highland View
Acre tractlo A aot10n WI. unanimously pI.sed recommending
to the City Council, the request be granted and an extension
of six month. be a!lowed.

The meeting was then opened as a hearing on the traffic
~roble., with about 75 peoples present, with most having an
Interest in First or Front Street. About 20 persons spoko
at length on the subject giving their ideas on what they
consider the proper method to follow in the proposed improve.ent.
Nearly all speakers favored 'he widening of First Street from
the east city i1_it. to Lincoln Street, whIch would permit 4
lanes of traffic together with parking on both sides of the
.treeto The hearing was held open until all who wished to
do so exhausted the lubject, with some apeaking several tlme.o
It was not the intention of the Commi8sion to make a decilton
or recomeendation at this .e.tingo Therofore atter the
