Commission, August J, 1965.

Minutes of the previous meeting weve read and approved.
First order of business was reconsideration of the application
of the Pilgrim Holiness Church for a variance from the zoning
regulations that would permit building closer to two streets in
the vicinity of Lopez and Eunice Streets. The members of the
Commission feel further study should be given this problem and
again deterred action.
The application of Charles R. Gallacci for permission to
construct a carport with a holdback of 24 feet instead of 25
feet on a lot at Park Avenue and Laurel Strpet was next con-
sidered, the members feel the proposal would not create any
problem and recommend to the City Council the application be
approved.
.
The applIcation of the OelGuzzi Construction Company for
permission to construct an additional duplpx residential unit
on property now occupied by a single family residential unit
on the south 70 feet by 100 feet of Lots 10 and 11 Block 54 at
3rd and Laurel, which is zon~d as First Business~ After dis-
cussion a motion was passed recommending to the City Council
the application be approved, provided the connection to the
present building he a common wall and that oft-street parking
be provided with one space per unit.
Next hearing was on the application of ~alt Reyes for a
variance that would permit the construction of multiple
occupancy units for College student housing in a First Residen-
tial zone. The property involves Lots 18,19, 20 Block I High-
land View Acre tracts, located on the north side of Grant Aveg
and adjacent to Bonneville substation. With provision thHt
adequate off-street parking be provided with which Mr. Reyes
agreed, a motion was passed recommending to the City Council
the application be approved.
.
Last hearing up for consideratIon was the application of
Lowell K. Jaeger for permission to construct a single family
residence on a lot of less than 7000 square feet in a First
Class Residence Zone known as the Apple Lane area. The discrep-
ancy in lot size which is approximately 63~0 sq.ft. is mainly
brought about by a meets and bounds dlscription in an area where
there is an actual shortage of property. There were no protests
on file on this applIcation, but Mro Reed the adiacent property
owner ,'eing present stated he was not protesting the application
unless the proposed structure would be of such height that it
would obscure the view from his property, an examination of the
plans convinced Mr. Reed this was not the case. He therefore
withdrew any protest. After further discussion a motion was
passed recommen "lng to the City Council the application be approved.
