Minutes of the special meeting of the Port Ange~ s Planning Commission
September 15th, 1958.
Members present were McGee, Hankins, Gort and strange. Also advising
were Reiners and Driscoll.
Meeting was called to consider application of First National Bank to
construct driveways in rront or Lot-6, Block-l, Tidelands east or Laurel
Street.
The application is for permission to construct a driveway thirtyQeight
feet and six inches ()8'-6") wide across the sidewalk area to allow
trafric to flow to proposed island banking quarters. Inasmuch as the
sidewalk is ten feet (lor) wide along Front Street and about the
only lessening or the width of the walk would be the removal of the curb
and further only one parking space, as used at present, would be .
eliminated, it was the unanimous opinion of the Planning Commission,
after a thorough discussion, that we recommend to the City Council that
the application be approved, providing that the First National Bank
assume all expense connected with the proposed application.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
