Minutes of the regular meeting of the eity of Port Angeles Planning
Commission, November 18th, 19~2.
Members present were Lamoureux, Reiners, Rodda, Hampton and Strange.
Also present was City Engineer Ahlvers.
~Hnutes of the special meeting of September 30th, 19,:>2 read and
approved.
Under the heading of unfinished business, Chairman reminded Commission
of application for vacation of the alley in Block 129, D. W. Morse
Subdivision, which had been submitted by Mr & Mrs G. Feola and Mr &
~~3 Waldron on December 21, 1951 at which time the Planning Commission
had placed the application on file and inasmuch as Mr & Mrs Feola had
recently been pressing the City Clerk for action on the application,
Chairman suggested matter be again brought up for Bonsideration.
After a lengthy discussion, it was regularly moved, seconded and
unanimously passed that the Planning Commission recommend that the
application be denied and the Chairman was so instructed to notify the
City Manager.
Commission member Hampton reminded the members of the unsanitary
condition of the private sewers in South Valley Street after which
there was a general discussion, but no action was taken.
The Commission spent considerable time discussing the advisability
and probability of the annexation of the Peabody Heights area to
the City and it was agreed that a study be given this matter with
the idea of taking some action immediately following the forthcoming
holiday season.
City Engineer Ahlvers briefed the members of the CommisRion on the
LID costs of the proposed new arterial highway program, hearing for
which is set for January 2nd next.
No further business appearing, meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
