trees. Edna Willadsen and Virginia Leinart both spoke in opposition to smart meters and the AMI project. Peter Ripley spoke in
opposition to raising fees, raising taxes, the AMI project and cutting trees at Lincoln Park.

revitalization of the Lincoln Theatre. Deputy Mayor Downie spoke regarding the 2014 Golden Generation Thousand Miles Ride Bike
Tour coming to town tomorrow and his recent visit to other conference centers with Nathan West and Mayor Di Guilio.
Councilmember Gase spoke regarding his recent tour of public works facilities. Mayor Di Guilio also spoke regarding the 2014

Public hearings are set by the City Council in order to meet legal requirements. In addition, the City Council may set a public
hearing in order to receive public input prior to making decisions, which impact the citizens. Certain matters may be
controversial, and the City Council may choose to seek public opinion through the public hearing process.
