RE: Request for Regional Veterans Day Observance Site for 2014
Dear Mr. Bristol,
Since 1996, the Coast Guard Group Port Angeles has served as the site for the Regional Veterans
Day observance. It is the City's honor and pleasure to again request that Coast Guard Group
Port Angeles be designated as the observance site for 2014.
Each year, the citizens of the North Olympic Peninsula have gathered in Port Angeles to honor
th em en and women who faithfully served in the armed forces. It is important to our community
to pay tribute to all veterans who have served our country and defended its freedom.
The Coast Guard Air Station is an ideal site for the celebration, and the Coast Guard personnel
have been most gracious hosts to the community. We look forward to the 2014 Veterans Day
observance, as it is our opportunity to collectively recognize the loyal veterans who have served
on our behalf Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely yours,
.e.v
