Dear Mr. Weed:
In accordance with the "Memorandum of Understanding" with the General Manager, the
Board members have evaluated'your performance for 2010 in Executive Session.
Seven Board members have submitted their performance evaluation forms with numeric
ratings. One Board member provided no evaluation information. The union Board
member did not participate in your performance evaluation. While some Board members
provided comments, others did not. In averaging the total evaluation points from these
forms, the rating at this time is 3.07. A summary of the performance evaluation forms is
available for your review.
The Board, along with you, has identified some performance goals for 2011 on which to
evaluate your performance at the end of the year.

activities in conjunction with its 30-year service anniversary on October 13, 2010.
As a way of promoting "Communities in Motion Day!" to celebrate the system's 30 years of
service, we are encouraging proclamations from the local jurisdictions declaring
"Communities in Motion Day!" on October 13, 2010,

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, public transportation is making a real difference in the daily lives of
individuals and households in Clallam County; and
WHEREAS, public transportation is vital to the quality of life and economic well-being of
all citizens of Clallam County; and
WHEREAS, workers, school children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and those
unable to afford an automobile use public transportation to gain access to jobs, schools,
medical facilities, and other fundamental services; and
WHEREAS, public transportation helps lead the nation toward its goals and policies of
protecting the environment, conserving energy, and providing for the health, safety, and
security of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, public transportation is the fabric of every community that enables people
from all walks of life to access opportunities that. allow them to accomplish what is
important to them, making the community stronger and more vibrant; and
WHEREAS, the Clallam Transit System and the City of Port Angeles wish to promote
transit's benefits, honor transit employees, encourage new riders, and remind the public
of the value of the public transportation services provided in Clallam County on the
occasion of the system's 30-year service anniversary;
NOW, THEREFORE, 1, the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles do hereby proclaim
October 13, 2010, as:
"Communities in Motion Day!"
in Port Angeles and call upon all citizens to support public transportation and
"Communities in Motion Day!", to commute via transit or share a ride on October 13, to
become more active in education and advocacy efforts to promote the vital role that
public transportation plays in shaping the fabric of Clallam County and across the United
States, and to celebrate the Clallam Transit System's 30-year service anniversary. I also
urge everyone to acknowledge the outstanding services that the Clallam Transit and its
employees provide to all the citizens of Clallam County,

SUBJECT: 2011 Appointments to the Clallam Transit System Board
The Clallam Transit System hereby formally requests written notification of the
elected officials your jurisdiction will appoint to the transit governing Board to
represent you during 2011.
Two elected City of Port Angeles positions were authorized by the Clallam Public
Transportation Benefit Area (PTBA) Board Composition Conference held in August
2008. In addition, the Clallam Transit System also requests an alternate be
designated. This has proven valuable to the conduct of business in the past.
The first meeting of the Clallam Transit System Board in 2011 is set for 1:00 p.m.,
Monday, January 24, at the Clallam Transit System, 830 West Lauridsen Boulevard,
Port Angeles.
